EVOKE LOVE
Costa Rica Retreat

A Yoga and Subtle Body Retreat
Led by Holly Purdy and Suzy Aragon
Hosted by Blue Osa Resort in Costa Rica
December 2-9, 2023
We invite you to retreat with us into the healing nature of Costa Rica. Deeply unwind and return to wholeness through the practices of vinyasa and yin yoga, chanting and mantra, reiki and subtle energy practices, pranayama, meditation, ritual, and community.
Together we’ll explore the magical Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica– one of the wildest and most beautiful places on earth (so we’ve heard!). Tucked away and surrounded by jungle and ocean, we’ll spend 7 days at Blue Osa Eco Retreat Center, which is known for its hospitality and beauty.
We will enjoy two yoga practices daily, one in the morning and one in the early evening before dinner. We’ll also spend time each day exploring nature, cultivating self-care habits, and nourishing our bodies, minds, and hearts. Of course, there will also be plenty of time each day for reflection and personal space. There will also be many opportunities to explore more of the Osa by horseback, kayak, surfboarding, or jungle hikes.

Our week together will go a little something like this…
Rise with the sun and enjoy a rejuvenating vinyasa/breath/meditation practice instructed by Holly to awaken the body and mind. Eat fresh food. Wander the beach. Swim in the pool. Take in the views and sounds of the wildlife. Breathe in the fresh ocean air. Rest away your afternoon with a book in hand. Enjoy a massage at the spa. Partake in any number of epic side trips to the local national parks, excursions, etc. Enjoy an afternoon/early evening yin yoga and reiki practice with Suzy. Then, more delicious, healthy food. And repeat!
This retreat is carefully designed to alleviate stress, inspire connection, and nourish the mind, body, and soul. Our physical practice will focus on releasing tension and awakening energy to foster balance within. We will explore supportive Asana poses, pranayama (breathwork), meditation and mantra.
We’ll refuel with fresh food, mindful conversations, great company, and soul replenishing yoga. If you’re craving a deep unwind and total reset, this week in the jungle by the beach is for you!

about your teachers
HOLLY
Holly grew up in small-town Shelby, Montana and began practicing yoga in college, as she dealt with the anxiety and depression of living an average American college existence and trying to figure out where she belonged. She was hooked by how the practice made her feel welcome in her body and mind; something she had never really experienced before. She continued to practice and deepen her relationship with yoga as she obtained her Master’s Degree in Education. Throughout her time as an English teacher, she always found ways to offer yoga to her students and fellow school teachers, despite not being certified quite yet. Teaching and connecting with others through yoga and movement came very naturally to her, and was well received by all with whom she worked.
After having her first daughter in 2016, and taking a year off from teaching high school English, she decided to enroll in a 200hr yoga teacher training. After a few years of being certified and cultivating her own practice, she seized an opportunity to open her own studio in her home of Whitefish, Montana. Now, almost forty, with two free-spirited daughters, and more than 700 hours of yoga training under her belt, she has found that one of the most rewarding parts of her work is building community through trainings and retreats.
A lifelong seeker, student, and teacher, she lives for sharing her love of yoga, chanting, singing, movement, and creating community and connection among those she has the privilege of calling her students and friends. She lives in Whitefish with her husband and two daughters, and her dog Cupcake, who is the studio mascot and true spirit of love.
Her classes are typically a balanced mixture of meditation, breathwork, mantra, philosophy, music, and intentional/ devotional movement. She lives to make a good playlist and seeks to bring joy, wellbeing, strength, soul, and connection into her yoga classes.
Her intention for this retreat is to help participants deeply unwind and align into nature and into the body. You can expect some rejuvenating vinyasa and movement with equal parts pranayama, mantra, and meditation.

SUZY
Suzy has been a dedicated Yoga Teacher and practitioner for over ten years. While she dabbled in Yoga since college it wasn’t until attending nursing school and experiencing a difficult divorce that she really found Yoga and started practicing regularly. The practice helped her to release anger and build -inner and outer-strength and resilience that she could use to get through anything. The physical Asana practice got Suzy hooked yet she quickly realized the inner benefits were even more impactful and that the path of yoga was so much more than the physical postures.
Suzy is an experienced 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher and has been teaching Yoga since graduating from her first 200 hour teacher training in 2012. Suzy is a co-founder of Love Yoga and Evoke Energy Yoga, has led two Yoga Teacher trainings, opened two yoga studios and has co-facilitated countless additional programs and trainings. Suzy is also owner of SoulFULL REIKI & Yoga and is a level II Reiki practitioner and Registered Nurse of 15 years. She is deeply passionate about serving others and is a healer at heart.
Suzy teaches Yin yoga, Vinyasa, Healing flow, VinYin, Yoga Nidra and Meditation. In her classes she believes in addressing the whole person which encompasses the physical body, mind, emotions and spirit because “we have a body-yet we are not just our body”. Her classes are a range of slow and meditative to challenging and sweaty. She teaches with intention and connection and her classes and offerings are accessible, inclusive and relatable. Suzy strives to teach a holistic and comprehensive yoga experience that reflects the deeper teachings and wisdom of yoga and loves to weave in hands-on assists and healing touch in her classes.
Suzy spent most of her young adult life in Bend Oregon where she attended nursing school and received most of her Yoga and Reiki training. Shortly after having her daughter she moved to Montana with her partner to raise their daughter in a smaller community and to experience a “slower pace of life”. In Suzy’s free time she can be found playing with her daughter, paddling mountain lakes, foraging, tending to her garden, practicing & teaching yoga & reiki, camping and soaking up all Montana has to offer- especially the summer sun.
It is Suzy’s true passion to offer Yoga to anybody and everybody. She has received so much knowledge, wisdom and life experience as a result of practicing and teaching yoga that it is her life's mission to share it with others.
