RETREAT DAILY SCHEDULE
DAY 1 - ARRIVAL
11/30
We all arrive into Santo Domingo! Plan to arrive by late morning or early afternoon.
At the airport, there will be three different vans leaving at various times to accommodate everyone. Each van will stop at a beautiful and secluded waterfall on the way up. (Michelle highly recommended this stop!) The van drivers will give each van-full of people one hour at the waterfall
The goal is to have everyone arrive into Las Terrenas at our villa by sunset. The chef will have fruit and dinner prepared. We want to give folks time to arrive and settle in, in preparation for our opening retreat ceremony on 12/1.
DAY 2
12/1
Opening ceremony. Rise with the sun, practice morning silence, walk the beach, enjoy freshly prepared fruit, tea, and coffee. Our first full day together will be very chill, allowing plenty of time to ground and enjoy the immediate area…walk the beach, swim in the water, grab fresh coconuts….etc.
Barre class will be held in the afternoon. Dinner at the villa prepared by the chef. For those who are up to it and want more of a cultural experience, you can take a trip to the local produce market and also the fish market right on the beach to pick out food for dinner!
DAY 3
12/2
Rise with the sun, practice morning silence, morning yoga with Holly. Ease into the day.
Today will be an option to visit Michelle’s friends’ villa on the mountain where they display and sell their locally made jewelry. She also makes homemade kombucha! For those looking for a little adventure and exploration, we’ll provide an option to head into town to check out the shops. We will enjoy dinner out that night at Playa Bonita. (This is the one night where your dinner is not included in the cost of the retreat). The restaurant is right on the beach and it’s a super fun place to meet locals and enjoy the sunset.
DAY 4
12/3
Rise with the sun and ease into the day with morning silence Morning Barre + Flow with Amanda and Holly. Snorkeling either on Coson beach or another beach not far from us. Later in the day, we’ll visit the 1000 year old tree with Melissa as our guide (this is one of her favorite places!)
This afternoon we will take a trip to a local yoga retreat high on the mountain above the ocean, with spectacular views and vibes! This retreat center is called Yoga Life Villa and is where Melissa taught when she lived in Las Terrenas. During our time at the retreat center, Holly will offer an extended Flow and Kirtan class dedicated to Gratitude and Community.Check out @Yogalifevilla
