Jill
What do you teach and what to expect?
I teach yoga and breathwork to adults and kids. I believe the breath is an immense tool, which guides noticing, self-awareness, emotional release, personal growth, and improved performance. Whether vinyasa, restorative, yin, or children’s yoga, practitioners can expect using the breath to bridge the connection between mind, body, and soul. I also read a lot about yoga philosophies and enjoy bringing my learnings to our community space, proving us all the opportunity to learn and grow together.
How did you end up in the Flathead Valley?
With a remote consulting job, I decided to base myself closer to family and where I love to play outdoors. So, I moved back to Montana in 2018.
Where would we see you outside of LOVE?
Locally, you’ll find me cheering on my nephew at WHS football games, paddleboarding, hiking, skiing, and at yoga. That being said, I’m rarely home. I love to see new places, eat new foods, experience new cultures, take more yoga trainings, and more. I set a goal to see 100 countries, and I’m 18 shy at the moment – who wants to go and where?
Surprising fun fact about you?
I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Senegal, West Africa. I lived in a mud hut with a hay roof with no electricity or running water for two years. I can testify that it is indeed “The Toughest Job You’ll Ever Love”.
