What do you teach and what to expect?
In my classes you can expect to learn how to move your body to create a solid
foundation to support your active lifestyle as well as detailed instruction on how to make it happen. You can also expect exercises specifically designed to help you get out of pain.
How did you end up in the Flathead Valley?
I grew up in eastern, NC, and found my love for the mountains while attending
Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. In 2005, my husband and I visited friends in Whitefish as well as Fernie and fell in love with the area. In 2008, we decided to turn our dream into reality, packing up what we could fit in our cars and moving to Whitefish “just for the summer.” Shortly after arriving, I started teaching Pilates and was welcomed into the vibrant
Whitefish community. I continued my pilates education through STOTT PILATES and became an instructor trainer giving me the ability to certify others to become Pilates certified. In 2013, I opened Studio 48 Pilates and Fitness, which offered private & semi private apparatus sessions, group classes, TRX, Total Barre, Foundation Training, and STOTT PILATES Instructor Training courses. After nearly a decade, I made the bittersweet decision to close it in December 2022 to focus less on my career and on my
health and my family. Now, after a much-needed break from 20 years of full-time teaching, I’m excited to bring my years of experience and passion for movement to the Love Yoga community.
Where would we see you outside of LOVE?
While I do love the mountains, my heart belongs to the water. You can find me wake surfing, going on surf trip, camping, hiking, snowboarding, mountain biking, on my Pilates apparatus, or hanging with my awesome daughter & husband.
Surprising fun fact about you?
